We're working with a dynamic specialist high school in Wigan that supports young people aged 11-19 with a range of complex learning needs, including Autism, social and emotional challenges, and associated additional needs. As a SEN Teacher, you'll take responsibility for a small secondary-age class, delivering a highly personalised curriculum that balances academic learning with life skills, communication, and social development. You'll use creative, flexible approaches to engage students working at a wide range of ability levels, helping them develop confidence, resilience, and a sense of achievement. You'll work closely with specialist support staff, pastoral leads, and external professionals to ensure every young person receives consistent, holistic support.
What you'll need to succeed:
• QTS or QTLS, with experience of teaching pupils with complex or SEMH needs

• Strong classroom management rooted in empathy and structure
• Ability to create engaging, differentiated lessons that inspire confidence and curiosity

What you'll get in return:
• A supportive, collaborative staff team and forward-thinking leadership
• High-quality training and mentoring opportunities
• An inclusive, caring environment where staff wellbeing is prioritised
• The opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people
Requirements:
