About the Role:
The House is a newly renovated four-bedroom “home from home” located in Rushden. We specialise in supporting children with learning disabilities to ensure they receive the highest quality of care. Our approach promotes independence, encourages personal growth, and provides children with opportunities to flourish in a safe, nurturing environment.
We are a highly experienced and passionate team with extensive knowledge and understanding of the children we support and we’re looking for dedicated individuals to join us on our journey.
The Role
As a Children’s Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in helping children live happy, fulfilling lives. You’ll provide day-to-day care, emotional support, and encouragement while promoting routines and independence. Every day will be different from helping with daily activities to creating fun, memorable experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality care and support to children with learning disabilities
Promote independence, confidence, and positive life skills
Build trusting relationships through patience, empathy, and understanding
Support children with personal care, education, and leisure activities
Keep accurate records and maintain safeguarding standards at all times
Work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the home’s positive atmosphere
About You
We’re looking for caring, reliable, and resilient individuals who truly want to make a difference.
Essential:
Genuine passion for supporting children and young people
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
Desirable:
Previous experience in a children’s residential or learning disability setting
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
Full UK driving licence
