Job Description
An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a Car Park Controller to join our Parking Service on a permanent basis.

Position Details
Supporting the Car Park Officer, you will be responsible for the efficient operation/maintenance of car park facilities and equipment.
Duties will include undertaking the supervision of Car Park Attendants to include allocating /reviewing the day-to-day work of the team, leading, developing and motivating a team of staff and carrying out any other relevant duties as necessary, such as covering event parking.
You must have a knowledge of car park operational systems, equipment and procedures, and you must also have the ability to walk long distances, climb stairs and work for periods alone.
Good communication skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (word/excel) and a current driving licence are essential requirements for this role.
A proven track record of supervising and developing a team to meet objectives, previous experience in a customer service environment and dealing with confrontational issues is desirable.

Contract Details
Weekly Hours: 35 per week
Work Pattern: 5 days over 7 on a 2-shift rota working 8am – 4pm and 3:30pm – 11:30pm, including weekend working.
Annual Salary: £27,647.92 - £29,754.33 on an incremental scale
Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts an annual non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £3,476.
