St James' is looking to recruit a reflective, dynamic individual to join us.
The successful person will take on a role teaching KS1 and will have high expectations for drawing out the very best from our children and the vision to deliver a cross-curricular curriculum in a vibrant, exciting classroom environment.
Experience of teaching in KS1 is desirable, alongside strong knowledge of early reading and phonics (we follow the Little Wandle programme). • Enthusiastic pupils who are keen to learn
• A school which fosters community cohesion
What the school offers its staff
St James' C of E Primary School is a single form, Voluntary Aided primary school in Rusholme, Manchester and is part of the Community of Saints Church of England Federation. Our ethos is captured perfectly by Matthew 22, verse 39 - Love your neighbour. We believe that people who love their neighbours as they do themselves are rich in confidence, resilience, empathy and heart. They are positive people who wish want to make the world a better place, trying to understand others and respecting who they are.
We are a school where everyone is striving for excellence together. We want the best possible outcomes for our children – academically, spiritually, emotionally, physically.
Commitment to safeguarding
St James' C of E School is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, younger learners and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff and volunteers to share the same commitment. The above post will be subject to enhanced DBS checks, satisfactory references and will be exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
