Crynodeb
Chalk Education is recruiting for support worker specialising in autism support.
This is a long-term role starting as soon as possible with a view to becoming a permanent position. Our client school is Ofsted rated 'Good' and is a multi-site SEND setting catering for primary and secondary aged (4 - 19 years) students with Autistic Spectrum Conditions. All pupils have a statement of educational needs and an Education Health Care Plan.
Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
Job Description
This role will involve supporting SEND children in the classroom as well as at lunch and break times.
You will be required to assist with personal care while maintaining the pupil's dignity.
You will work closely with the class teacher supporting the children across various activities, while providing a happy and safe learning environment.
To be considered for this role you will need:
- Experience supporting young people with SEND and complex needs
- To be comfortable and confident delivering personal care
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A caring and positive attitude with a flexible approach

- References confirming suitability for role
- Commitment to safeguarding
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
- Eligibility to work in the UK
