Restore Prestige. Build Your Future.
We’re hiring on behalf of a high-end, independent bodyshop, a trusted name in vehicle body repair, resprays, dent removal, and accident repair across Glasgow. Renowned for delivering top-tier finishes on both premium and commercial vehicles, they’ve built an outstanding reputation for craftsmanship, precision, and customer loyalty.
With a loyal client base, consistent insurance work, and a clean, modern workshop, this is a rare opportunity to join an elite refinishing environment, without the politics of a main dealer.
Whether you're already in the UK or seeking Skilled Worker visa sponsorship, this is your opportunity to join a respected employer with growth, support, and stability at its core.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be responsible for preparing, refinishing, and restoring vehicle surfaces to manufacturer-level standards using the latest paint technology and methods. Tasks include:
• Prepare vehicle panels and surfaces by sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning.
• Mix and colour-match paints using manufacturer systems (Spies Hecker, Sikkens, Standox, Glasurit etc.).
• Apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat using HVLP and compliant spray guns.
• Bake and cure paint finishes in controlled environments.
• Polish, de-nib, and finish painted surfaces to achieve flawless gloss and texture.
• Conduct minor cosmetic repairs (scratches, chips, bumper scuffs) to restore appearance.
• Maintain paint equipment and ensure all materials are stored and handled safely.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental protocols within the paint shop.
• Work collaboratively with panel beaters, estimators, and workshop controllers to ensure efficient repair flow
What We’re Looking For
You’re an experienced body repair technician who takes pride in top-tier craftsmanship. You have:
• Proven experience in automotive paintwork, refinishing, or cosmetic repair (premium brand experience desirable)
• Strong understanding of paint systems, colour matching, and surface preparation techniques
• Ability to deliver refinishing work to manufacturer and insurer quality standards
• Excellent attention to detail, ensuring every finish meets premium standards
• Confidence using spray booths, mixing systems, and modern refinishing tools
• A proactive, dependable work ethic with the ability to work both independently and as part of a skilled bodyshop team
• Eligibility to work in the UK or meet Skilled Worker visa requirements
Why This Role?
• £36,000–£42,000 gross annual salary
• 28 days paid holiday (including bank holidays)
• Training, long-term progression
• Supportive, stable team culture
Visa Sponsorship & Relocation (If Applicable)
This employer is a licensed sponsor under the UK’s Skilled Worker route and welcomes applications from:
• UK-based candidates (must have right to work)
• Overseas candidates eligible under the Skilled Worker (T2) visa
• Tier 4 UK graduates in vehicle repair disciplines
