Are you looking for a new challenge as an Adult Social Care Senior Occupational Therapist? Then join our evolving OT workforce. We are looking for experienced Occupational Therapists for Senior OT roles. The salary point for grade 9 is 39,862- 42,839 pro rata, with an additional £3000 market rate supplement (subject to annual review). We have roles within the Active Recovery *7 day service and the Locality Team.
Recognising the workforce demand these posts are enhanced with a market rate pay supplement in excess of the top of the substantive grade. An annual review will take place which could reduce, increase or remove the enhancement subject to market conditions.
If you are a HCPC registered Occupational Therapist, with experience of a senior role, or ready to move up into a senior role we have opportunities for professional development that will enable you to broaden your experience across Adult Social Care. We will provide support and opportunities to enhance and progress your leadership skills and your clinical expertise as well as to be involved with our research partnership with the Curiosity Partnership. We offer a preceptorship period to support people transitioning from a different area of work.
In Hull, Occupational Therapy is a vital function of Adult Social Care, ensuring that individuals can maintain their independence and live life to the fullest in their own homes. We have established a close working relationship with multi-disciplinary teams across adult social care, and health.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, the role will support the understanding and embedding of a trauma informed approach to people accessing adult social care. You will apply the principals of rights based inclusive practice. You will use solution focussed conversations, and agree goals with people as part of a proportionate assessment process. Where appropriate to contribute to, or lead on the statutory assessment and review of individuals care and support needs under the Care Act 2014.
As a valued leader, you will be providing supervision and clinical oversight to other registered and none registered Occupational Therapy staff, as well as carrying a complex case load. You will contribute and lead on service development, policy and process for Occupational Therapy and ensure OT is embedded within the wider Social Care offer.
You will also have the opportunity to work with a varied case load including:
Long term neurological conditions
Life limiting illnesses
Offenders within prison and in the community
Homelessness
Short term intervention with those recovering from illness/ injury
Learning difficulties and autism
Children transitioning into adulthood (16-25)
Carers
