Are you a Senior Business Analyst looking to lead analysis activities on complex, innovative, data-driven transformative products?

This role places you at the heart of a data and insight led tribe (ChADS - Children Analytics Data Service) where the outcomes of your work drive operational improvements across the Child Maintenance Service.

Our aim is to improve children’s lives through the provision of effective child maintenance arrangements. In Children and Families Digital, we help run and maintain products and services that improve the outcomes for children, by enabling parents to put in place and manage sustainable child maintenance arrangements in an efficient and convenient way.

You’ll bring a strong foundation in data analysis and reporting, using your business analysis expertise to shape data informed solutions that meet real user needs.

Working closely with a range of stakeholders including product teams, MI specialists, and data solution designers throughout the development lifecycle, you’ll solve complex problems by gathering requirements for data products that will be used to support strategic decision making.

As a Senior BA working within DWP, you will:

  • Work on large, complex products or services, or across several products or services simultaneously.
  • Lead workshops, interviews and focus groups to effectively understand business problems and user needs within large complex products or services.
  • Communicate effectively across senior technical and business stakeholders, ensuring the understanding of requirements and acceptance criteria is aligned.
  • Understand the business processes and activities that impact and that are impacted by the product or service whilst developing an understanding of how the product or service aligns with the wider strategy of the department.
  • Lead BA activities and initiatives and will champion continual learning & development within the BA community.
  • Be a leading member of the BA community, taking on leadership and line management responsibilities of BAs. Additionally, you will play a significant role in capability building and recruitment when required.
  • Encourage and promote our delivery methodologies, setting standards across the function and working to educate the BA teams working across the functions on principles, methods and tools to support their development.
