We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering a diverse range of activities that cater to the interests and abilities of our residents, helping them stay active, connected, and engaged.
Responsibilities
- Planning and coordinating daily activities, including arts and crafts, music, exercise, games, and social events
- Encouraging resident participation and adapting activities to suit different needs
- Organizing special events, seasonal celebrations, and outings
- Building relationships with residents, understanding their interests and preferences
- Collaborating with care staff and families to ensure activities enhance residents' well-being
- Maintaining accurate records and evaluating the success of activities
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role or working with elderly individuals is desirable
- A caring, compassionate, and energetic personality
- Creativity and the ability to develop engaging activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- An understanding of the importance of promoting mental and physical well-being
