Cover SupervisorSchool: Heolddu Comprehensive SchoolGrade: Grade 5Contract: Term Time Only, Fixed term for 12 months in the first instance Responsible to: Headteacher and Senior Leadership TeamAbout the RoleWe are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team at Heolddu Comprehensive School. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the education of our pupils, maintaining a productive classroom environment, and ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absence.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise whole classes during short-term teacher absence, maintaining good order and keeping pupils engaged in set work.Support individual pupils or small groups with their learning, implementing agreed programmes under the guidance of teaching staff.Assist with lesson planning, preparation of resources, marking and monitoring pupil progress.Promote positive behavior, inclusion, and high expectations across the school.Work collaboratively with teachers, SLT, and external agencies to support pupil achievement.Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality, and data protection policies.What We’re Looking ForExperience of working with young people in an educational setting.Ability to establish positive relationships and act as a role model.Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.Good communication skills, both written and verbal.A proactive and flexible approach, with a commitment to supporting pupil progress.Confidence in using ICT to support learning activities.
