We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality support and supervision for pupils with additional needs in Year R. This role will involve working with small groups both within and outside the classroom. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the class team to review and monitor provision and progress, ensuring that all learners receive the support they need.We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative and flexible and enjoys working as part of a team. The successful candidate should have experience of developmental delay, social communication difficulties and learning through play, movement and exploration. Dedication, energy, humour as well as a commitment to continual professional development are key requirements of the role.
Previous experience of supporting pupils with SEN is essential. We are looking for someone who has experience of following areas:
• Child centred approaches and TEACCH approach
• Developing toileting skills
• EYFS experience
• Speech and Language interventions
• Social and Emotional needs
• Cognition and Learning needs
The successful candidate should possess NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants/ other relevant qualification or minimum 3 years relevant experience of working with children in an educational context.
Appropriate training and access to relevant CPD will be provided.
