Hours: 39 hours per week - Day Shift
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Braising/Soldering Bus Bar Assembler to join our production team in Droitwich. This role involves assembling, brazing, and soldering copper or aluminum bus bars used in electrical systems, ensuring top-quality electrical and mechanical connections. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical component assembly and a strong focus on quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble and fabricate bus bars according to schematics, blueprints, or work instructions.
* Perform brazing and soldering operations on copper or aluminium conductors.
* Inspect and measure parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
* Prepare surfaces for brazing/soldering by cleaning, degreasing, and fluxing as needed.
* Operate and maintain hand tools, soldering irons, torches, and brazing equipment.
* Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometre's, etc.) to ensure accuracy.
* Ensure all work meets quality control and safety standards.
* Work with engineers and quality teams to resolve issues during assembly.
* Keep the workstation clean and organized.
* Complete documentation and report any issues during production.
Qualifications:
Required:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in soldering, brazing, or electrical/mechanical assembly.
* Skilled in brazing/soldering (e.g., silver solder, torch brazing).
* Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
* Understanding of bus bar systems and related components.
* Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
Preferred:
* Certification in soldering or brazing (e.g., IPC-A-610, AWS B2.2).
* Experience in UL or ISO-certified environments.
* Familiarity with copper, aluminum, and tin-plated materials.
