Summary
Professional / Clinical responsibilities To develop a clinical research project to fulfil requirements of higher research degree Apply for external funding for research project Work with study manager / research nurses as required on the sickle natural history study (including data quality control, data analysis, report writing for the sponsor) all after appropriate training and under supervision Review of patients in outpatient setting with senior support. Ensure timely production of letters within current Trust targets. Arrange appropriate investigations, treatments, documentation and referrals. Discuss cases with the appropriate consultant/team or specialised/disease-specific management team. Attend and contribute to departmental meetings / seminars and MDM sessions as required. Ensure leave requests are submitted with sufficient notice and clinical cover to maintain safe patient care. Management and Leadership Work within the Haematology MDT team. Time management of work profile. Day-to-day clinical leadership within subspecialty clinical service regarding the ongoing care of patients. Information management Study data collection and entry Data quality control Data monitoring Data analysis descriptive and analytic REDCap GCP training EPIC Clinical coding Information technology/presentation skills
