Summary
Chalk Education is seeking a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to work on a long-term basis at a specialist school in Stoke. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, working 1:1 with a student with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The role requires consistency, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will be supporting a student throughout the school day, helping them to stay focused, manage challenges, and progress both academically and personally. The environment is structured, with clear routines and strong teamwork across the school.
This position suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a practical role, and values the chance to build trust through reliability and persistence. Previous experience in SEN, youth work, coaching, or similar roles would be an advantage, but strong interpersonal skills and resilience are equally important.
In return, you will receive competitive daily pay of £95, ongoing support from Chalk Education, and the chance to make a genuine impact in a dedicated SEN setting.
Please note, this role is a long term temporary role with working hours Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30, term time only.
