Crynodeb
Our client are looking for a site manager to work on a new build project that they are delivering in Emsworth Hampshire. The individual will require comprehensive building knowledge, experience of multi phased builds in local area, knowledge and experience in dealing with multi trade build packages, from ground works through to finishing trades. This will be a 52 week project that will involve up to 10 new residential units being built.
Core Experience & Background
- Minimum 7-10 years proven experience in site management / project management within construction (ideally residential).
- Track record of delivering projects from £1m-£20m+ safely, on programme, and to budget.
- Experience in delivering local projects with examples / case studies that we can view projects
- Solid understanding of JCT contracts (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to manage both direct labour and subcontractors.
- Qualifications
- Relevant construction / project management qualification (HNC/HND, Degree, CIOB or equivalent).
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- CSCS Black Card (or working towards).
- First Aid at Work (minimum requirement).
- Temporary Works Coordinator / Fire Marshall training (desirable).
- Knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations.
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and proven record of achieving safe sites.
- Ability to lead site inductions, toolbox talks, and method statement/risk assessment reviews.
- Experience implementing quality assurance procedures, environmental & sustainability standards.
- Competence in audit preparation, reporting, and compliance documentation.
- Programme, Cost & Quality Management
- Proficient in programme management tools (Asta, MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Ability to produce and manage look-ahead programmes, progress reports, and KPIs.
- Track record of value engineering and commercial awareness.
- Technical & Digital Competency
- Good working knowledge of design drawings
- Strong knowledge of building regulation and safety standard for build compliance.
- Comfortable using document management systems
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Leadership & People Management
- Demonstrated leadership skills: motivating site teams, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management (client, consultant, design team, end-user).
- Experience managing PCSA phases, RFIs, risk registers, and design trackers.
- Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

- Local project delivery
- Previous employment with a Tier 2 or Tier 3 contractors.
- Understanding of DfMA / Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders and management
- Flexible and adaptable, with proven ability to handle multiple fast-paced projects.
