Koala North West have been successfully supporting families for 25 years and we are looking for someone who is passionate about the quality of services available for families with children aged 0-11 years.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Outreach Worker to join our Tiny Teeth Team in Liverpool
The role is 25 hours per week
Office base is Liverpool
Salary: £22,932 per annum FTE (£16,380 actual)
Purposes of the job
● To provide direct support to families with children aged 0-7 years, living in Liverpool’s most deprived wards to raise awareness of the importance of good oral health in young children. This will include home visits & community support.
● Champion the role of parents as experts to support local communities to address need
● Providing direct support to families with an emphasis on early development, accessing services and empowering parents
● Reduce health inequalities by delivering effective health promotion
● Raise awareness of poor oral health and ways in which it can be prevented
● Promote supervised toothbrushing to improve dental outcomes
● Distribute toothbrushes and fluoride toothpaste to families
● Support parents to access primary dental care
