Summary
Job Title: Digital Systems Support Officer
Salary: £30,024 - £33,699.
Hours: 36.25 hours per week (Monday Friday).
Contract: 12 month fixed term contract.
Location: Hybrid Remote\Office. Primary office location - Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters.
146 Bolton Road, Swinton, Manchester, M27 8US with occasional travel to GMCA Tootal Building, 56 Oxford St, Manchester M1 6EU.
About the role:
Greater Manchester Combined Authority are looking for a Digital Support Officer to work within the Digital Services team. Supporting the Digital Training and Support Team Leader the successful candidate will:
- Provide support to users of key operational ICT systems to ensure the accurate completion of data records.
- Provide monthly and adhoc reporting to operational managers to assist with the timely completion of incident data in compliance with Home Office deadlines.
- Be responsible for the payment and provision of incident reports and data to internal and external customers whilst adhering to information governance policies.
- Contribute to the testing and implementation of new systems/applications for the collection and reporting of data.

You will have:
- Have experience of using Microsoft 365, in particular Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook and SharePoint
- Be methodical in your approach and able to prioritise workloads
- Deliver to set deadlines yet respond to every changing priorities
- Have clear focus on delivering positive outcomes
- Possess well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including report-writing and presentation
- Show resilience and an ability to navigate through difficult situations
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues
About the team:
The Digital Services team manage and support the Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s ICT services and architecture.
We:
- Lead the Digital, Data and Technology function and strategy for GMCA
- Set and enforce standards for digital services including considerations of data security
- Help the business to choose the right solution and technology, keeping the context of partnership in mind
- Provide guidance and advice for consistent, coherent, high quality digital services
- Support North West Fire Control who provide a service to GMFRS as well as Cheshire, Lancashire and Cumbria
