With 243 pupils on roll, we cater to children with a wide range of complex needs, including profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), severe and moderate learning difficulties, and autism spectrum conditions -diagnosed in nearly half of our pupils. Working under the guidance of teaching and senior class staff, this rewarding—yet sometimes challenging—role involves supporting students to access and engage with teacher-led curriculum and learning activities.
Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting with the implementation of individual education and behaviour plans.
• Supporting learning both in the classroom and in alternative settings.
• Providing personal care, attending to hygiene needs, and administering medication.
