Summary
Working with the Head of Resilience and the Resilience Adviser, the post holder will: Facilitate the development and maintenance of departmental business continuity and emergency incident responses. This will involve taking the lead as directed for specific areas of the Trust. Co-ordinate and collate departmental planning responses to provide a Trust level emergency response plan covering all reasonable foreseeable internal and external incidents. This will include major incidents, pandemics, adverse weather and site integrity issues. Provide feedback on plans and progress towards appropriate levels of preparedness, ensuring that response arrangements are based on the best available evidence and guidance. Support work to risk assess, evaluate and audit levels of emergency preparedness and resilience with reference to statutory requirements, guidance, best practice and lessons learnt from real life incident and exercise scenarios. Ensure that the planning process, risk assessment and reviews are carried out in line with internal audit and external assurance and quality standards for emergency preparedness and organisational resilience, to demonstrate that the relevant standards are achieved and can be appropriately evidenced. Maintain effective and accessible information systems to record emergency planning and business continuity data, ensuring that this is accessible in an incident. Develop, design and deliver training on emergency planning and business continuity to staff and managers across the Trust, ensuring that courses are updated to incorporate changes in local policy and external guidance and best practice. Ensure all costs incurred are recorded and managed appropriately. Plan, coordinate and ensure delivery of a range of emergency preparedness activities including hazard identification, risk assessments and incidents and ensure these are reviewed and updated on the Trusts Corporate Risk Register, systems and database. Undertake and lead on a range of projects relating to Business Continuity/ Emergency Planning Provide a source of knowledge and advice on the theory and practice of emergency incident response and business continuity planning. Lead on the development of the Trusts command and control rooms. Ensure all equipment, documents and plans within the command and control rooms are regularly audited and tested. Develop and deliver regular tests of the Trusts emergency call in procedures Ensue all information on the senior managers on call laptop is regularly reviewed and updated.
