An exciting opportunity has arisen within a multi-national company based in the S20 area of Sheffield for an Mechanical Builder. The company designs and manufactures standard and bespoke rail power systems, both trackside and vehicle mounted. There is only one position available, so please apply quickly to avoid missing out.

Pay: £13.00 per hour (£25,147.20 per annum)
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Main duties:
Mechanical and electrical assembly in compliance with production engineering drawings and company health and safety quality guidelines
Operate small tooling such as band saws and pedestal drills in line with EH&S requirements
Complete mandatory online health and safety training during working hours
Work towards and improve defined performance measures including target delivery margins, cost budgets, and on-time delivery
Maintain 5S standards in the designated working area
Provide feedback to the Electrical/Mechanical Team Leader on the status of all orders
Experience required:
Experience in some form of electrical assembly is essential
Previous experience in both mechanical and electrical assembly is beneficial, but full company-specific training will be provided
Experience with mechanical/electrical schematic diagrams and Bills of Materials is ideal
Strong focus on client satisfaction
Good organisational and time management skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task with a flexible approach to work
Overtime may be required depending on workload demand
