We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Driver to support our operations in the engineering sector. This role involves transporting tools, machinery, materials, and components between sites, suppliers, and clients, as well as assisting with general site and workshop duties when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport engineering equipment, tools, and materials to and from project sites, warehouses, and client locations.
Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with safety regulations.
Assist with loading/unloading vehicles, using lifting equipment where required.
Carry out basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any defects promptly.
Keep accurate delivery logs, fuel records, and paperwork as required.
Liaise with site supervisors, engineers, and logistics coordinators to ensure timely and efficient transport.
Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
Provide support in the workshop or on-site when not driving (e.g. fetching parts, helping with deliveries, or basic labouring duties).
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence
Proven driving experience, ideally in a engineering environment.
Good knowledge of local and regional road networks.
Ability to lift and handle heavy loads safely.
Good communication skills and a strong team ethic.
Punctual, reliable, and well-organised.
