About the RoleWe are seeking a highly capable Site Operations Infrastructure Lead (Assistant Project Manager) to join our growing team at Sizewell C, one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the Site Operations Service Manager, responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of infrastructure and utility operation and maintenance contracts.You will oversee contractor teams delivering a wide range of services across the site, including highway maintenance, temporary and permanent infrastructure works, and off-site property maintenance. Your work will directly support the safe and successful delivery of the wider Site Operations programme.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the operation and maintenance of both temporary and permanent infrastructure assets.Lead contractor teams across multiple service areas including roads, networks, temporary buildings, access points, and security plazas.Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of services in line with project goals.Provide technical input across all project phases—from feasibility to operation.Support other service lines such as facilities management, logistics, bussing, catering, and accommodation.Respond to unplanned works and system failures with agility and prioritisation.Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental performance. Scope & DimensionsDirectly accountable for managing contracts valued up to £100 million.Responsible for supporting a peak construction workforce of ~10,000.Oversight of both on-site and off-site associated developments.Work across the Area Management model to enable “Best for Project” decisions.Ensure service delivery aligns with financial, safety, and quality expectations. Principal AccountabilitiesLead and coordinate critical site support services.Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and site-specific controls.Manage stakeholder relationships across all levels.Define and manage work scopes, interfaces, and contract deliverables.Drive performance through KPIs, SLAs, and regular reporting.Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring early intervention where needed.Support career development and performance management of staff.What We’re Looking ForEssential:Proven leadership in highways or construction service-led environments.Experience in high-security, regulated project settings.Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to manage multiple teams and dynamic priorities.Demonstrated success in large, complex infrastructure projects.Able to work with our local supply chain partners in a collaborative environment.Desirable:HND or equivalent in a relevant field.Experience with roads, modular buildings, pedestrian main site access points, and quality assurance.Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Office Suite, and AutoCAD.Budget development and financial management experience.
