As a Catering Assistant with ISS UK, you will assist the team with food presentation and service in a busy staff restaurant.
The role includes regular interaction with both customers and staff. Duties involve a wide range of preparation and service tasks, such as clearing tables, loading and unloading dishwashers, cleaning, and other general responsibilities to support the smooth running of the restaurant.
The Role
To assist, as directed, with all aspects of food service preparation and presentation
To serve customers in an appropriate and professional manner
To lead and provide food and beverages at service counters, ensuring sufficient supplies are maintained throughout service periods
To handle transactions at cash desks, ensure current prices are charged, and reconcile cash takings where appropriate
To ensure meals and services comply with agreed budgetary standards and cost controls
To ensure restaurant tables and service areas are kept clean and adequately stocked during service times, and replenished as required
To maintain a clean and tidy immediate working area at all times
To undertake all aspects of cleaning, including equipment, walls, fixtures and fittings, pots, pans, cutlery, glassware, and other relevant items
About You
Enthusiastic approach to work
Catering experience is preferred - but a positive, can-do attitude is essential
Good understanding of the principals of food hygiene
Must be reliable and well presented
Comfortable in a customer-facing role
A determined team player who works well with others
