Summary

This is a 12 Months full time Fixed-Term opportunity for a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing/ Directorate Lead for Student Voice and Communities (Until Aug 2026)

This is an exciting and influential position in which the individual will play a key leadership in role in enabling co-creation with our student communities and academic teams to cultivate a strong sense of identity and belonging for our students. As a Senior Lecturer In Mental Health Nursing, the individual will help to further develop the regional, national, and international profile of mental health nursing at the University of Salford.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • To liaise with Programme Leaders, Heads of Subject, Assistant Directors, Directors, and Associate Deans in matters relating to student progression and attainment
  • To support in the development of excellence in learning and teaching
  • To work with the Associate Dean Academic Student Experience and Directorate team to develop actions to address NSS, attrition and employability
  • To assist on the review of module feedback and any actions required
  • To support the completion of student surveys
  • To support the ongoing development of the “student voice” group
  • To help promote equality, diversity and inclusivity for student

Candidates should possess :

  • Current NMC registration as a mental health nurse
  • Master’s degree in relevant subject
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice (or equivalent)
