Job Description:
“A wide-ranging role based at Manchester Airport to support the engineering team deliver service excellence:•Escorting subcontractors and visitors airside and landside •Supporting with arrangements for the delivery of quoted works.•Basic plumbing & ventilation maintenance•Undertaking basic fabric, plumbing and ventilation maintenance as required, such asfixing toilet roll holders, replacing toilet seats and siliconing of sanitary ware, cleaning filters, unblocking toilets and planned inspections.•Opportunity to learn and develop to take on more skills and responsibility•Taking deliveries and supporting with stock control.•Willing to get involved in general maintenance tasks as required by supervisors/management.•To understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time•To understand and comply with policies and procedures•To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner•To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures•To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required•To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required•The physical environment requires regular exercise to cover maintenance duties across the airport site.•Liaise and co-operate with sub-contractors and other visiting service disciplines.•Organised and methodical with the ability to multi-task•Ability to use initiative and solve problems.•All services within remit are delivered in a timely manner.•Excellent communication skills.•Organised and methodical with the ability to multi-task.•Ability to use initiative and solve problems.•Works well under pressure.•Ability to work as part of a team or alone as required.•Driving licence - not essential but desirable.•Generally IT literate•Able to work in a team or alone.•Motivated•Customer focused person with confidence in their skills and ability.•Presentable and approachable•Ensures area of responsibility is to delivered to a high standard.”
