Are you a patient, compassionate graduate with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Redbridge is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide targeted support to pupils who need additional help to thrive both academically and emotionally.
Whether you're working 1:1 with a pupil with autism, speech and language needs, or supporting small groups, you will be making a meaningful difference in a nurturing, supportive setting.
Key Highlights:
• SEN Teaching Assistant – supporting across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
• £95–£110 per day depending on experience
• Full-time, term-time only – September 2025 start
• Located in Redbridge – accessible via Central Line and local bus links

• Ideal for aspiring SEN teachers, therapists, or educational psychologists
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Providing 1:1 support for pupils with special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, or speech & language challenges
• Assisting with classroom tasks to ensure lessons are accessible for all pupils
• Working closely with the SENCO, teachers, and external specialists
• Helping pupils build confidence, independence and social skills
• Supporting sensory, emotional and behavioural regulation in line with EHCPs
• Promoting a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant Profile:
• Graduate with a 2:1 or higher in Psychology, Education or a related field (preferred)
• Experience working with children with SEN (voluntary or paid) is highly desirable
• Empathetic, calm, and committed to inclusive education
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach
• Looking to gain valuable experience before pursuing further study or training in SEN, therapy, or education
