My client has developed an extensive portfolio of successfully delivered projects and they have a proven reputation of delivering high quality and exceptional projects.
In this role, as the Estimator you will:
- Support the generation of profitable tenders for authorization and submission
- To estimate the costs of projects to meet or exceed customers' requirements
- To determine contractual, financial, technical and operational risks
- Find opportunities to minimize risk and maximize gross profit
- To support the fulfilment of the pipeline of contracts safely, on time, and to the required quality while maximizing gross profit
For the role, they are looking for:
- Experience working for a Tier 1 or 2 contractor as the Estimator
- Be contractually astute (Contracts are usually JCT and the successful applicant must have a complete understanding of how the contract works)
- Have a sound knowledge and be experienced in payment terms, payment notices, contract protocol and matters associated with delays and extensions of time
- Be skilled in subcontract procurement and understand the importance of this process
- Have a very strong teamwork ethos
