Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer ready for a new challenge with a leading company? As an Electrical Design Engineer at UK Power Networks, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality electrical designs for our Assets and Connections Portfolio. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver technical excellence and ensure that all designs meet UK Power Networks design and CDM standards. Your responsibilities will include producing electrical designs that comply with standards and CDM requirements, delivering effective designs in line with relevant Codes of Practice and industry standards, and contributing to the production of technical, commercial, and contractual documents for procurement.

Additionally, you will ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and company procedures, prepare concept and developed designs within defined periods, and liaise with operational teams to ensure smooth processes from initial enquiry to project closure. As a team player, you will support other members of the team, enhance their technical knowledge and experience, and comply with the requirements of the designer/principal designer as determined by the 2015 CDM Regulations.

To be successful in this role, you should have an electrical engineering background with knowledge of power systems and protection design at various voltage levels. Familiarity with design processes, DNO, ENA, and International Design Standards, as well as a sound understanding of Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations, is essential. You should possess good team-working skills, a general appreciation of financial reporting systems, and knowledge of project management. Proficiency in Microsoft desktop applications and AutoCAD or MicroStation is also required.
