Responsibilities
Conduct assessments to identify potential family members and supportive adults for children in care.
Develop and implement family finding plans tailored to the unique needs of each child.
Facilitate conversations and meetings between children and their identified family members.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to families throughout the family finding process.
Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers and therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to each case.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case documentation, including contact notes and assessments.
Advocate for the best interests of children in care during court proceedings and family meetings.
Requirements
A degree in social work or a related field is required; relevant licensure or certification is a plus.
Experience in child welfare, family services, or a related area is essential.
Strong understanding of family dynamics and the impact of separation on children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
Familiarity with family finding models and reunification practices is preferred.
Commitment to child-centered practice and respect for diverse family structures.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 08:45
End Time: 17:15
Pay Per Hour: £22.51
