Summary

Location: Gloucester
Type of position: contract 6- 12 months
Hourly rate: £20.00 to £25.00 per hour PAYE
Working hours: Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 02:00 pm
We are now seeking to recruit 4 CNC milling setters / operators to work for an engineering company based in Gloucester. The appropriate CNC miller will be responsible for machining components that meet the design tolerances as per the manufacturing schedule/ drawings. You will be setting and operating CNC milling 3+ 2 axis machine with Hass controls.
Responsibilities of CNC miller:
• Setting and operating CNC milling machines with 3+2 axis and Haas controls
• Ensure parts conform to drawings and are processed in the allotted timeframe.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate.
• Measuring, adjusting, and maintaining tight tolerance
Responsibilities:
• Previous experience in CNC setter / operator with knowledge of part editing
• Ideally have experience of multi-axis milling and some lathes, preferably HAAS.
• Know how to adjust feeds and speeds to suit a wide range of materials including aluminium, various grades of steel and polymerics e.g. HDPE.
• Working to tight tolerances with a good understanding of surface finish requirements and how to achieve them.
• Capable of using a wide breadth of measuring instruments, including bore mics, go /no-go gauges, thread gauges, verniers and protractors.
• Read and understand first and third angle projections.
