An exciting opportunity has arisen for Yard Operatives/Forklift Driver in East Kilbride!
The Best Connection is thrilled to introduce an opportunity for hardworking General Yard Operatives to join our client on a Temp to Perm basis.
Purpose of the role:
As a Yard Operative/Forklift Driver you will be responsible for the efficiency and safe operation of the yard, including receiving/dispatching goods, maintaining the plant and equipment and providing general labour support to the team.
Your Role: Operate a Counterbalance Forklift. Responsible for loading/unloading of plant. Check orders are correct before dispatch to customers. Ensure plant is stored/stacked correctly and safely. Complete and record equipment checks/inspections. Record both inward/outward stock movements daily. Inspect equipment fore any damage in accordance with quality control standards. Prepare, maintain and clean equipment, using a pressure washer when required. Work collaboratively with all other business function to ensure smooth running operation of the yard. What We Expect From You: Previous experience in a yard or warehouse environment. Counterbalance Forklift - current valid licence essential. UK Driving licence - clean and current valid licence essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Physically able to lift and manoeuvre heavy objects. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively. Working Hours: Monday - Friday (7am - 5pm)

- 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
