Crynodeb
You will receive direct supervision and partake in reflective practice / training on a regular basis and be required to meet the Care Certificate standards. Following supervision and appropriate training the Apprentice Healthcare Assistant will be expected to efficiently undertake basic duties, this may include the following: To adhere to trusts policies and procedures and to abide by any employment laws. To communicate with internal and external agencies using phone/fax/letters/forms. To communicate effectively with patients showing regard for their individual needs and for their right to confidentiality. To ensure all patient records are kept up to date, accurate and stored safely. To prepare patient transport trolleys/beds/wheelchairs for use where required. To have awareness and understanding of universal precautions, health and safety / infection control / waste disposal policies. To participate in maintaining a safe environment for patients in the departments. Being aware of the security of the department, patients and equipment To use equipment safely and appropriately, following local instruction.
