Darlington | ⏳ 8-week temporary assignment | £12.21 per hour

We are looking for a reliable and organised Administrative Assistant to join the team at Darlington Crown Court on a temporary basis for 8 weeks. This is a great opportunity to gain experience within the public sector and support the smooth running of court operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and deliver files and bundles to the judiciary and clerks, ensuring they have all necessary papers.

  • Create, update, distribute, and track files, bundles, and documents efficiently.

  • Maintain accurate databases, lists, manuals and complete documents such as standard letters, forms, applications, orders, records, and statistics using both electronic and paper systems.

  • Help maintain the Court Library, including managing e-transcripts and books.

  • Sort and deliver lists of hearings for internal and external notice boards.

What we're looking for:
✅ Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
✅ Comfortable using IT systems and handling both electronic and paper records.
✅ Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
✅ A professional and proactive approach to supporting colleagues and court users.

Pay: £12.21 per hour
