The Governors of St. Richard Gwyn Catholic High School are looking to appoint a highly-motivated, creative and innovative Science Technician to play a key role in the delivery of provision for children and young people as part of the science team. This is a full-time permanent position working term time only for 37 hours per week.
This post is important in fulfilling our mission statement and our vision for our inclusive school; supporting our science teams to deliver outstanding practical lessons including helping to prepare A level practical resources.
We have high expectations of students, both in terms of their progress and their behaviour. In particular, we expect them to invest in their own learning, and we encourage them to enjoy and make a positive contribution to the wider life of the school. They, in turn, can expect from us the highest possible quality of teaching, care and support. St Richard Gwyn Catholic High School strives to ensure that each student’s potential is achieved and provide students with a broad and balanced curriculum.
If you feel you share our values and are committed to ensuring that students fulfil their potential, then we would like to hear from you. The successful candidate will present the best possible example of professional standards to colleagues.
St Richard Gwyn is an 11-18 mixed Catholic comprehensive school in the Diocese of Wrexham, serving the population of Flintshire, North Wales. With approximately 785 students on roll including the sixth form, the school has a strong ethos and is a vibrant Christian community. The school is located near the A55 and is easily accessible to north Wales and the north west of England.
