We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team of Achievement Assistants. Church Hill Middle School takes pride in delivering high-quality teaching and learning that empowers all students to succeed. As a team, we are committed to supporting pupils in developing their reading skills and providing meaningful opportunities that promote purposeful and progressive reading. As a library lead, you will be responsible for promoting, managing, and maintaining the library as a valuable learning resource. This includes encouraging reading for purpose and enjoyment, ensuring the space remains quiet and calm to support focused study, and keeping students informed about a wide range of books and resources available to them. The library lead will offer extra-curricular provision each day to support the children and school. The role would be suited to those seeking a career in education and is a great opportunity to gain experience of working with young people in a school community. The role will involve supporting pupils with SEN and other identified needs or barriers to learning, in securing the best possible outcomes. The role will involve supporting pupils in lessons, small group work, and leading specific reading interventions. This post offers a great opportunity for personal and professional development at an exciting time when the schools are working ever more closely to support our community. Possession of (or willingness to work towards) a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools is essential.
