Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer
Are you an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer with F-Gas qualifications looking for a new challenge? A leading facilities management company, is seeking a skilled and proactive engineer to join thier team. You'll be instrumental in maintaining and repairing critical systems for a diverse range of our commercial clients.
About the Role
As a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks on commercial gas systems and other building services. This is a varied role where you'll ensure all work is completed to the highest legislative standards, supported by accurate and timely documentation.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Performing PPM and reactive maintenance on commercial boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power, and lighting (where applicable).

Diagnosing and rectifying faults efficiently and effectively.

Completing all required paperwork and reports using handheld technology.

Ensuring all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed within required timescales, with correct certification and clear identification of remedial works.

Actively participating in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours cover for our clients.

Collaborating with other team members and assisting supervisors or contract managers as needed.

Taking a proactive approach to identifying additional work opportunities and gathering information for quotes.

Monitoring visiting sub-contractors, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards and issuing appropriate permits.

Controlling small works and performing escort duties when required.
About You
We're looking for a dedicated and skilled engineer with a strong commitment to health and safety.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:

City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in relevant mechanical or electrical disciplines.

A valid F-Gas qualification.

Proven experience in maintenance, testing, and fault finding on a variety of commercial building services equipment, as listed above.

Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.

A full UK driving licence.
