Recycling Outreach Officer

  • Based out of Rumney, Cardiff CF3 2HP
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
  • Full clean driving licence required
  • Immediate start

We're building a brand new team to help improve recycling in flats, and we're looking for passionate, people-focused officers to join the team!

As a Recycling Outreach Officer, you'll support our Flats Project Co-ordinator in bringing better recycling options and education to residents living in flats, a space where waste management can be especially tricky.

What you'll be doing:

  • Visiting bin store areas to check what bins are there and what's needed.
  • Creating and installing clear signage to help residents recycle correctly.
  • Knocking on doors and chatting with residents to explain how recycling works.
  • Running outreach sessions and answering questions.
  • Working with other teams to help arrange collections.
  • Managing admin tasks and using IT systems to support your work.

What we're looking for:

  • Great communication skills - you'll be speaking to people from all walks of life.
  • Friendly and confident with the public.
  • Comfortable using computers and basic IT systems.
  • A relationship builder with good organisation skills.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence.
