Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the educational journey of pupils at a crucial stage in their learning. Beginning Septmber 2025.
Duties as a Year 1 Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum.
Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where all children can thrive.
Assess and monitor pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual development.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and achievement.
Contribute to wider school life, including extra-curricular activities and events.
Ideal Year 1 Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (preferred but NQTs/ECTs are welcome to apply).
Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, phonics and early literacy and numeracy skills.
A nurturing, positive and adaptable approach to teaching.
Excellent communication and organisational skills as a Year 1 Teacher.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
