Summary
Plaster Technician (experienced or trainee)
Due to sustained growth, Lab94 are now looking for another member to join our team.
We would love to hear from candidates from all walks of life, who are keen to gain hands on experience in the day to day running of a dental laboratory as well as the manufacture of dental prostheses.
The right candidate will have a can-do attitude, great work ethic, an eye for detail, and be passionate about consistently delivering a high quality product and great customer service.
Responsibilities and Duties
Many of the key aspects of the production of dental prostheses, including:
Preparing plaster and stone models including casting and trimming
Producing finished dentures including flasking, boiling out, packing, deflasking and polishing
Occasional administrative duties, including:
Liaising with practices, dentists and suppliers
Maintaining databases
General duties including:
Helping to manage the flow of work in and out of the lab
Helping with the ordering and monitoring of materials and supplies
Helping maintain lab equipment and machinery
Helping maintain a clean, safe workspace
Qualifications and Skills
We are happy to hear from experienced Plaster Technicians, or candidates with less experience but who have the right attributes and are keen to learn. Previous dental lab experience is an advantage but we are able to provide training for the right candidate. Strong interpersonal skills together with an ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks are essential; basic computer literacy would be an advantage.
What you can expect from us
We offer great rates of pay, a company pension scheme, overtime (where available), and the opportunity to gain practical experience – you can add to and improve your existing skills, and funding is available for additional training. Plus you get to be part of a friendly team where your contribution is acknowledged, valued and rewarded, and where you will have the chance to grow with the company.
