Junior Project Manager | Chalfont St Giles | Full Time, Hybrid Working | Working hours are 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday to Friday, working 3 days a week from the Chalfont office, 2 days per week remote or on project site| £28,000 to £32,000 per annum
Our client is seeking a versatile and analytical coordinator to join their dynamic interior design team. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of business processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work across various departments to drive business improvements. This role involves supporting project teams, sales, and design functions to ensure the successful execution of projects and overall business growth.
You will be required to work from our offices in Chalfont St Giles 3 days per week and remotely from home, our London offices or elsewhere for the remaining 2 days per week, with the only exceptions being if you are required to attend a site, project, work event or offsite meeting, all of which will do require a good degree of flexibility.
Are you the right person for the job?
• A degree in Business Administration, Management, Interior Design, or a related field is desirable but not essential
• Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in a business role, preferably within the interior design industry, but not essential
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, good IT skills with a propensity for tech solutions, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Detail-oriented, proactive, highly motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
What will your role look like?
Project Team Focused:
• Manage and streamline project workflows, ensuring efficient processing, efficiently moving projects from stage to stage and boundary to boundary, assisting the project teams in successfully reaching project milestones on time and assisting in reviewing milestones with continued business justification, assisting the wider teams to complete projects from initiation to completion
• Oversee the procurement of products, materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery
• Perform financial reconciliations to ensure accuracy in project budgets and expenditures.
• Prepare detailed project briefing documents within our tech platforms to guide design and project teams
• Conduct in-depth analysis on various metrics, including average order value (AOV), profit, gross margin (GM) percentage, markup %, and true cost
• Track and analyse sales performance, including contributions from introducers and referral sources
• Assist the wider team members and marketing partners on marketing projects, social media content, event management and collateral creation
• Work closely with the design and project teams to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes
• Provide training and support to team members on project management tools, processes and tech development/usage and best practices to ensure betterment is achieved in our staff’s output
• Engage with clients to gather requirements, provide updates, ensuring good rapport is created and client satisfaction is achieved
Sales Support:
• Assist the sales team with various tasks, including preparing presentations, quotations, proposals, briefs, and pitch documents
• Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Maintain and update the CRM system to ensure statuses and notes are live and correct, generating reports to support sales activities
• Develop case studies and gather client testimonials to support sales efforts
• Provide training to the sales team on tools, processes, and best practices
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to support the sales team
Design:
• Assist the design team with product and supplier research, ensuring the selection of high-quality materials and services
• Provide training to the design team on new products, suppliers, and industry trends
• Engage with clients to understand their design preferences and provide expert advice
