Summary

Multi-Lingual Buddy – Wisbech Foodbank

Location: Wisbech
Hours: 21 per week (currently Mon/Wed/Fri – may require some flexibility)
Salary: £13,497–£14,621 actual (FTE £23,780- £25,762)
Contract: Fixed term to 30 Sept 2026 (possible extension subject to funding)

We’re looking for a Multi-Lingual Buddy to support individuals accessing Wisbech Foodbank. You’ll provide tailored 1-to-1 mentoring to help clients build confidence, reduce their reliance on foodbank services, and improve their wellbeing.
This is a rewarding, front-line role where you’ll:
• Work closely with foodbank staff, volunteers and the CARC team
• Support clients with practical goals around money, work, and digital skills
• Help connect people to the right advice, resources and local services
• Make a real impact on people’s lives

You’ll need:
• Fluency in Lithuanian, Latvian and/or Russian
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• A compassionate, empowering approach
