Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is a 20-year-old male living in the Redditch area of Worcestershire who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support for 14 hours per week.
Our client suffers with a condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which affects their mobility, joints and causes pain.
Main duties:
Social duties:
Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
Attend medical appointments if required
support to access the local community
Personal care: Support with personal care and dressing.
Domestic duties: Support with grocery shopping, cooking and serving nutritious meals and snacks and keeping the home environment clean and tidy.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
Values: Someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality and diversity or has a good sense of humour.
Specific requirements: Someone with an understanding and awareness of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Someone with manual handling training or knowledge.

Rate of pay: £12.50 per hour

Essential:
Driving licence
Car and appropriate insurance
Understanding of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome
Manual Handling training
Confidentiality

Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
