Do you have a project management background, with knowledge of CDM regulations?

Have you extensive knowledge and experience of managing and overseeing subcontractors with complex repair cases? This could include disrepair claims, damp and mould and structural defects?

Are you available to start work immediately?

We are Work with York Limited and are currently looking for an experienced Building Surveyor, for a minimum of 3 months, and be responsible for delivering projects within the client’s Building Services Planned and Cyclical Investment Programme, supporting their Housing Stock. A competitive rate of pay is available.

You will be working within a team delivering building projects including, procurement, site supervision, budget management and contract administration. You will also have regular contact throughout the scheme of works, through site visits and progress meetings with Contractors, Surveyors, Architects and Structural Engineers.

Our client is seeking an individual, enthusiastic, and passionate with knowledge of traditional, non traditional and emerging construction methods and applications in the built environment, including British Standards and Building Regulations.

Key skills/experience required: -

HNC in Building Studies or related subject (NQF level 5) or relevant experience
Experience and knowledge of Contract Administration/Forms of Contract etc.
Strong knowledge and experience of CDM regulations.
Ideally, have a good understanding of asset management within social housing.
Technical design knowledge of building repair, renovation and modernisation works, including writing specifications for materials and quality installation standards.
