Summary
he States of Guernsey are looking for a Staff Nurse to join the team at Brehon Ward .
Brehon Ward is a 20 bedded unit , offering specialist medical nursing and mental health care to meet the complex needs of service users who have a dual diagnosis of long term physical and mental ill health.
The post holder will be form part of a team of registered nurses, taking responsibility, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained following the CARE values. Assisting patients with all activities of daily living is a core component of this role. The post holder will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, delivering, and evaluating personalised care for a group of individuals, ensuring patients and family are included in decision making, preserving privacy and dignity. They are responsible for their own personal development, ensuring mandatory/statutory training is completed in a timely manner. Adhering to all HSC policies and procedures. The post holder is expected to act as a mentor, practice assessor/supervisor to junior staff and students.
