A vibrant and happy one-form entry Primary school based in Camden, NW3, requires a compassionate and dynamic Special Needs teaching assistant to provide 1:1 support for 2 pupils with various SEN. The role will start ASAP and continue until the end of the next academic year (July 2026)
Key Responsibilities:
• Morning Sessions: Support a Year 3 pupil with Downs Syndrome – very sweet but sometimes a little cheeky
• Afternoon Sessions: Support a Year 2 pupil with Autism who needs assistance with developing social skills and being integrated into the classroom.
Alongside the staff, you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
To be considered for this role you will need:
• Experience working with children with diverse needs, particularly those with Downs Syndrome and Autism
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles and needs.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• A proactive and creative approach to support children's development and foster a nurturing learning environment.
Additional requirements:
o References confirming suitability for role
o Commitment to Safeguarding
o Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
o Eligibility to work in the UK
