We have an exciting opportunity for an engaging, motivated and proactive Manager to join our South Powys Floating Support team on a full-time, permanent basis.

What is great about the role?

The role will be varied and involve managing a Floating Support team to deliver a quality housing support service to vulnerable people in their homes or temporary accommodation across South Powys. You will be involved in building a reputation for excellence through partnership working, service improvement and developing and motivating your team.

You will also be responsible for managing two accommodation services; 7 bed young persons supported accommodation service and a 6-bed homelessness service with support from a Lead Project Worker.

You will also:

Oversee the running of the service including health and safety, on-going maintenance and neighbour relationships.
Be responsible for the annual budget and monitoring the service’s income
To work in conjunction with HR to manage all relevant HR procedures as and when required such as sickness, absence, disciplinary, contractual etc.
To take responsibility of the recruitment, selection, interviewing and induction of all staff, in line with Pobl Group’s values.
Ensure that advice is given on welfare rights, permanent housing options and other associated information according to the needs and wishes of the clients.
Ensure that clients receive resettlement advice as and when appropriate to address their move-on needs.
Monitor the service and produce and amend procedures as appropriate
Build relationships and liaise with local neighbourhoods, businesses, commissioners, and council
To be part of the out of hours on-call rota.

Who are we looking for?

You will have had previous experience in a support environment and have a good understanding of leadership and management.

In addition you will be able to demonstrate the ability to;

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
Produce concise, accurate written reports
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with customers, staff and community partners
Knowledge of homelessness issues
Knowledge and understanding of the Psychological Environment framework

What are the pay and benefits? 

Full-time, Permanent position
Competitive salary of £31,899.00
Work pattern: predominantly Monday – Friday 9-5 although flexibility is required due to the needs of the service
An enhanced DBS is required for this role which we will pay for
26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays
