Job Title: Toolmaker
Location: Wolverhampton
Job Type: Permanent
Pay Rate: From £18 per hour (Negotiable, depending on experience)
BCS Connect is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Skilled Toolmaker to join their established engineering team based in Wolverhampton. This is a permanent position offering a competitive starting rate and long-term job security within a growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture, assemble, maintain, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Operate manual and CNC machinery including milling machines, lathes, grinders, and EDM machines.
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and tolerances are met.
- Support production with tooling adjustments and problem solving.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Toolmaker or in a similar precision engineering role.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and measuring equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with both manual and CNC machining is essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
