Summary
Steel Detailer, Tipton, £50k
My client is a design and manufacturing company within the structural steel sector. They currently have a requirement for an experienced and proven Steel Detailer to join their team.
They work on a wide range of projects and can accommodate all aspects of the project in-house from concept to site installation.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Create and develop 3D structural models in Tekla Structures/StruCAD.
• Liaise with contract design teams, fabricators, and steel installers.
• Produce and issue general arrangement drawings and RFI sheets to progress the steelwork project.
• Produce and detail fabrication/shop drawings and site installation drawings.
• Issue supporting CAM/NC data to fabrication in accordance with internal procedures.
• Generate accurate material lists & bolt schedules.
• Provide supporting details during the fabrication and erection process if required.
Required Experience:
• Thorough knowledge of hot-rolled steel and architectural steelwork (UK based experience required).
• Tekla Structures or StruCAD.
• Good comprehension on steel fabrication and installation requirements for steel detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret Architect’s and Structural Engineer’s drawings.
• Good working experience with Microsoft Office.

Holidays 28 days including stats increases in line with service length.
Salary up to £50k per year.
