Vacancy – Warehouse and Delivery Operative
We are looking for an eager, bright person to represent a high end, thriving local business with appealing hours and an ability to earn more through paid overtime.
The Warehouse and Delivery Operative will work full time (Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30) to perform deliveries across the UK. As well as deliveries the successful applicant will also form part of our hands on operations team, working across our local multi-site locations. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and energy, who enjoys being part of a small and busy team.
The role includes delivering around the UK, moving items of stock in our showrooms and storage units (including operating a forklift, for which we can provide training), supporting the sales team in stock movement, and general show space/storage organisation and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
• A friendly, polite manner and be reliable
• Keen to learn new skills and able to take direction
• A clean UK driving licence, (3.5T) with confidence to drive a van in busy areas e.g London
• Appealing hours with a chance to earn paid overtime
• An eye for detail and presentation
• Experience in warehouse or logistics environment moving goods, including packing
• Experience and or willingness to take on a hands-on role (for moving large pieces of furniture)
• Contributing to the smooth and efficient flow and storage of goods.
• Delivering – including staging and positioning - high-end furniture within client homes
• Supporting our photographer by moving furniture for product and creative shoots
• Light maintenance; painting, cleaning furniture prior to delivery and wrapping
