BECOME A SWIMMING TEACHER – WE’LL COVER YOUR QUALIFICATION (WORTH OVER £400)
Looking for an exciting and rewarding job? We’re hiring Swimming Assistants (Teaching Level 1) across our Sale, Stretford, and Urmston sites – and we’ll pay for your qualification to get you started!
Pay: £12.90 per hour upon qualifying
Hours: Flexible hours available, including evenings (4–7pm) and weekends

We can help you begin your journey as a swimming teacher and support you every step of the way as you progress to the level you want. While being an active and challenging role, becoming a swimming teacher is also hugely rewarding. You’ll have great opportunities for employment. Yes, you’ll need your qualifications, but thanks to our expertise and experience, gaining these is also fun and fulfilling.
Let’s get you qualified – we’ll cover the cost of your Level One Swimming Assistant (Teaching) qualification with Swim England.
What the Swimming Teacher Role Involves:
Delivering structured lessons for all levels of swimmers
Teaching children, adults, and school groups
Supporting swimmers to achieve their goals and awarding achievements
Ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
Managing your own lesson plans and swimmer progress records
All We Ask…
You must be age 16 or over
You must be able to swim confidently
Successful candidates will be asked to volunteer as part of the qualification process
After qualifying, a commitment is required– if you choose to leave within 2 years, you’ll be asked to repay a percentage of the course cost

You must be available to attend the following training sessions at Move Urmston (Bowfell Road, Urmston, Manchester, M41 5RR):
Initial Training:
Monday 4th August – Friday 15th August 2025 (Weekdays only)
Each day: 10:30am – 6:30pm
Additional Mandatory Training:
Friday 5th September 2025 – eLearning available from 12:00am
Friday 5th September 2025 – Webinar: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Wednesday 10th September 2025 – eLearning available from 12:00am
Saturday 13th September 2025 – In-person training: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Saturday 20th September 2025 – In-person training: 8:00am – 4:00pm
